I remember the excitement I got from wearing my mom's shoes around the house. I always picked the dressiest one's I could find so that I felt all grownup, mature, smart, beautiful and loved like my mom was. I thought I would take soooooooo long before I could ever have feet big enough to fill her shoes. Of course my mom has a size 5 1/2 foot, so it didn't take as long as I thought to actually fit her shoes and even wear a bigger size, but I have yet to fill her shoes as far has her character is concerned.
Titus wants to do everything Aaris does. So one day when we were putting on her shoes, he wouldn't let up on bothering her until he got to wear her shoes as well. So, we slipped his foot, shoe and all, into a pair of her shoes. He had the best time walking all over the house in his sister's big kid shoes. I wish he wouldn't want to grow up so fast. Then, one day I was runnning around trying to gather all the stuff we needed to leave the house and I set my boots by the stairs to put them on right before we left. I came to grab then and found that they were not there. Aaris was standing in the doorway to her room and was putting them on. She too loved walking around in her mommy's shoes. It was a joy to see. I hope that I can have the character of my mother that makes my daughter always love and respect me the same way I did her. It would be an honor to have my daughter want to fill my shoes.

What a sweet story. It's a good reminder that they are always watching us! Thanks for sharing it...
What sweet kids- it's great that they want to be just like their mommmy! But you're a great person, so I can see why :)
I think Aaris is well on her way to having a loving heart like her mommy! I personally always wanted to put on my aunt's shoes - spike heals (my mom didn't were those).
