On Sept. 20, Titus turned three. We had his party the day before on Saturday morning. It was a beautiful day. It was so much fun to use our new backyard and deck. Titus had just the sweetest friends come and celebrate with him: Luke, Taylor, Cooper, Owen, Bubba, and Ava. Titus chose a soccer ball themed party a couple of months ago and talked about his upcoming party all the time. This really was a fun year because Titus completely understood what was going on and was anticipating everything with excitement. At the party they got to play lots of games like pin the center on the soccer ball, soccer ball hot potato, soccer ball bowling, water balloon toss, soccer ball pinata, and soccer ball obstacle course. I have to say that the pinata was a blast. Everyone got to hit to their hearts desire and yet it still wouldn't bust open. I even gave it some whacks and finally just had to rip it open with my hands. I attempted to make a soccer ball birthday cake. I have to admit that each year with each birthday my cakes get a little more less perfect. I'm already getting tired of all the work it takes...poor Skylyn. Anyway, it did taste fantastic and Titus loved eating a soccer ball. He got to open the sweet and generous gifts he received and I loved that he gave his party favor immediately after he opened each gift. I hope that he realizes that giving is just a wonderful as receiving. I had a blast making the personalized etched plates and hope to get another opportunity to do so again. My favorite present was Aaris's because she had gone to a ceramic store and personally made Titus a new, big boy piggy bank to match hers. After the party Titus's grandparents, us and his Uncle Jeremy (my brother) got to join him at Chuck-E-Cheese for some lunch and games. They also gave him some fun presents like cowboy boots and hat, Longhorn football player uniform, and scooter. After one day that boy was a pro at the scooter. Our neighbors all enjoy watching him fly by and then slam on the brakes to stop. I love this little man. He never ceases to amaze me with his overflowing joy, determination, and eagerness but at the same time gentleness, sensitivity, and thoughtfulness. He a an unbelievable gift from God. I pray I guide and directly him as God desires.

Sounds like you did a lot of work but he had tons of fun. My oldest Brylie shares Titus' b-day that so cool. I am right there with you on the cakes. I think on day I might just have someone else make me one. It so much work and sometimes not exactly how you invisioned it. Or at least that is how mine turn out. Keep up the good work you awesome mommy.
