We came home one day the week before Christmas to find our neighborhood's big blue ribbon yard sign marking our yard as "Yard of the Month". Aaron was almost giddy with delight. He attached a little sign to that one that read "'It's a MAJOR award!' -The Christmas Story (Thank you)". December's yard of the month goes to the Christmas light display winner, so that is why Aaron was so proud. As an added bonus he got a gift certificate to Home Depot. I know that is fun for Aaron, but if they would have asked me first, I would have suggested the prize be that they pay my electricity bill for that month instead. :) (If any of you missed our Christmas lights set to music, just click on the link listed to your right and you can see it.)

Aaron totally deserves it. I know I was a little bit of a groupie at your house this year watching the light show over and over again, but it was SO AWESOME. Good work Aaron! (and even better work Aaron for keeping a good attitude after I took out some of the lights along the driveway with my car and making him redo some of his work...)
