Do It Anyway

Martina McBride's song "Anyway" talks about things that might not ever come to be, that might scare or intimidate you, that may never be appreciated, or that might not even be accepted, but you do them anyway because you know it's good for you and it's where your heart and hope lie. Therefore, knowing that how my family acts, how we look, what we choose to enjoy, or even what we say and believe may not be appreciated or accepted, I still want us to be who we are anyway...do it anyway.

Free Entertainment is the Best

I definitely enjoy taking my kids to special places or buying them special toys to entertain them, but with rising costs of living, those already limited luxuries are becoming even fewer and farther between. Therefore, I'm even more thrilled than ever when they are easily entertained by the free things in life. Here are a few recent free joys for the kids: dressing up in each other's shoes, playing in packing boxes (plenty of empty ones around our house right now), and playing in the rain in the backyard.
