Aaris has said some really amazing, insightful, and funny things in the last couple of weeks that I had to at least blog about so that I wouldn't forget them:
Aaris: "Mommy, I know that God can do things very fast. So, why is He taking a long time to get heaven ready for us?"
(Preface: We've always told Aaris that God and Jesus are up in heaven getting our heavenly houses/rooms ready for us)
Me: "Well, I think God knows that not everyone has heard about God and Jesus and maybe He is waiting until they all have a chance before He comes back to get us"
Aaris: "Oh, so is that what I'm suppose to be doing? Can I help by telling everyone about God and Jesus?"
Me: "Definitely Yes"
Aaris: "Daddy I pray for snow every night because I really, reeeeeeally want it to snow on Christmas. I know it will snow because I'm praying for it."
Aaron: "Well, someone else might be out there praying that it doesn't snow. God will then have to decide which answer will be the best: snow or no snow."
A FEW NIGHTS LATER....
Aaris praying: "Dear God, please, please don't let anyone else pray that it won't snow, because I really want it to snow."
(In Ladies Bible Class we were having some serious discussions on why Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge Good and Evil. Aaris's tummy was not feeling good so she sat with me in class that morning.)
Peggy the teacher: "Why do you think that Adam and Eve would even want to eat from that tree?"
Aaris turns and whispers to me: "I think they just really liked fruit."
Peggy again a few minutes later: "What do you think they thought they were going to get from eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge Good and Evil?"
Aaris once again turns and whispers to me: "I think they wanted to be healthy."
