We have been to the fair a number of times, but with the kids this is our 2nd consecutive year. Last year we went with Poppy during Spring break to give us something to do. This year we went on the last weekend of Spring Break and Mamaw and Aaron were able to join us. We had so much fun with them experiencing it all with us.
Highlights:
-All 3 kids entered the Stick Horse Rodeo. Aaris did barrel racing and came in second, and she also did bronco riding and came in second (if she wouldn't have fallen she might have come in first). Titus did barrel racing and came in first. He also did bull riding and came in second. Bull riding was fun because I just told him to act crazy and he did shaking his head all over the place. Skylyn did barrel racing. She made it around the first barrel and then started crying and was carried the rest of the way. She got a participation ribbon.
-We watched the piglet races. Last year during one of the races Aaris got picked to be the cheerleader for one of the pigs. Her pig won and she got a free pig nose, pooping pig key chain, and package of Oreo cookies (what the pigs race for). Well, this year the EXACT thing happened. What are the odds! But, they didn't give her the pooping pig, so instead, Poppy bought all three of the kids their own pooping pig.
-Titus' boot sole completely came off as we were entering the fair grounds. So, Mamaw bought him a brand new pair of boots. He sure looked good. We couldn't find good ones for Aaris, so she learned patience and waiting until the next day when Mamaw bought her some after church at Cavenders.
It was great weather, wonderful company, and loads of fun. Thanks Poppy and Mamaw!

I LOVE the pink boots. We still have Bella's first pair of pink boots. :)
