Pre-school

Today was the first day of pre-school for both Aaris and Titus! Aaris has been attending pre-school for 3 years now, but this was Titus's first time. They are going to a new school this year, but Aaris and Titus have good friends that are also going there, so that was a big comfort. Actually, Titus didn't quite think so. As you can tell, when I dropped him off in class, he was not happy about the idea. Taylor (also crying, and one month younger than Titus) and Cohen (standing up, and 5 days older than Titus) attend Westover and are in our Care Group, so we hope they will be good buddies growing up. When I picked Titus up, he was crying again, but the teachers assured me that he did well the rest of the day. In fact they give me a "report card" for each day and they had Titus's mood for today as "happy". Aaris had no problems. She has been so excited to go to "Luke's School" (her friend that attends there) and we have been counting down the days. She just walked right on in and started playing. I watched her for awhile and really enjoyed seeing her go right up to new kids and just start talking to them. When I left though, she had planted herself in front of the bookcases and was probably there for awhile after I left. I had a very productive morning. It's amazing what I could get accomplish without having my kids around my feet all the time. I exercised, took a bath and shaved my legs (!), did laundry, vacuumed, and generally cleaned all over the house. Also, I got to have lunch without telling Aaris to please eat something and without constantly trying to feed Titus's appetite! That was probably my favorite part of the kids going to pre-school.

I really didn't mean to sound like I was blaming that on Titus. I thought the whole scene was pretty funny. Taylor is just an emotional boy - he feels his friend's pain! :)

I am glad you got so much accomplished. Sounds like you all had a wonderful day. I am glad that Titus has his buddies there to make him feel better.

What exactly is shaving? I seem to have forgotten... not that I can even see my toes right now since #2 is making me huge!

Your kids are dolls!

How do I say this without sounding mean? I just love the picture with the tears... both Titus and Taylor are so cute - helping a friend to not feel lonely & lending a shoulder to cry on. Adorable!

MDO and Preschools are such awesome and amazing inventions. I don't know what mommies did without them. :)

The twin tears were adorable and Aaris just looks so sassy! It's beautiful.
