2 Months Old

Skylyn was 2 months old on Monday and Wednesday she was 9 weeks old. She had her check up with the doctor on Tuesday. She was 8lbs 3oz (less than 5%) and 20 inches (less than 5%), and her head was 36 cm (5-10%). She got 1 shot and an oral vaccination and will then go in every 2 weeks and get 2 more shots until she is caught up. We are still doing some medicine for reflux and she probably is a little anemic so we will be getting a liquid vitamin for her for that, but she is doing wonderfully otherwise. The doctor just kept saying how amazingly strong she is. She doesn't bobble her head and she loves to stand up for a couple of minutes at a time already. She is smiling a lot and starting to make those cooing sounds.

Tuesday afternoon we also put her in her Bumbo for the first time. She did great! The kids love to help me make dinner, so we just let Skylyn join us. She loved watching Titus, Aaris and all the chaos (that is what my cooking is like) going on.

Skylyn's routine at 2 months:
-Wakes up and eats around 8:00 am
-Usually asleep again by 8:45 am (doesn't look like she's going to be a morning person)
-Sleeps like a log until around 12:00 pm and gets up to eat
-Usually back asleep around 1:30 - 2:00 but wakes up to have her pacifier popped back in during this sleep cycle
-Wakes up around 4:00 pm to eat and then stays awake until about 6:00 pm
-She then cat naps off and on until she eats again at 8:00 pm.
-This is when she is most awake and happy and smiling and very interactive. (looks like she will be a night owl like her daddy and I)
-Falls to sleep between 10:00 - 10:30 pm
-Wakes up to feed between 3:00 or 4:00 am.
-Then starts the routine all over again at 8:00 am

All your kids are precious! Sounds like Skylyn is a little powerhouse. Watch out world, watch out!

I can't believe Skylyn is already going so long between feedings! Katelyn still wants to eat every 3 hours during the day and acts like she is starving when I don't act quick.
Glad to hear she is growing so healthy and strong.
