Fun Helping Daddy - Part 2

Aaris and Aaron climbing up
Aaris and Aaron safely make it on the roof
Aaris and Aaron on the peak of the roof
My favorite part - coming back down
Aaron caring Titus up to the roof
Titus and Aaron safely on the roof
Aaron kissing Titus
Titus and Aaron on the peak of the roof

Aaron talked me into letting Aaris go up on the roof with him last year when he was doing Christmas Lights. I am deathly scared of heights. Aaron's argument to me when I first objected to Aaris being in the roof was that he didn't want her to be scared like me. If she started going now as a kid when she wasn't scared, then she wouldn't be scared as she got older. So, this year he took Aaris up again, and Titus! He only takes them for a minute or two. They walk to the very peak of the roof together and then come back down and get off. I'm scared the entire time and give the kids a big talk about being very still and careful and obeying and listening to their daddy the whole time. I also instruct them on being careful the whole time they are up on the roof. I'm always thankful when they are back on solid ground.

That was very brave of you! I didn't used to be afraid of heights but I am now that I'm a mom.

Your kids are braver than I am. I will not even get on our one-story roof.
