Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a little cold to start with, but that didn't slow these kids down. Aaris still complained about the dress hurting her (she has very sensitive skin) even though I put a slip on under it. But, she got so carried away with the excitement of the day, that she forgot about it most of the time. She asked for "Libby Lu" hair again. So, I attempted again. Titus looked so precious in his blazer and tie. The Easter Bunny had hid eggs early that morning, so the kids hunted for them before Sunday Bible Class and Church. Aaris was so sweet. She would find eggs for Titus and call him over to point them out to him to pick up. My brother and sister will know that she didn't learn that from me. I was a fierce egg hunter growing up. Titus liked finding them, but he didn't trust putting them in his basket. He thought they were going to be taken away from him. He also liked to open the eggs up right away and pour out the contents with excitement. By the end of the hunt Titus retreated to his favorite thing to do outside...tee ball. I had to get a picture of him batting with his suit on. And, he also decided to practice left handed swinging. Baseball out-weighing egg hunting...again nothing like his mom. We then had a great time at church. Aaris LOVED her K2P time when she learned that Jesus had a final meal with all his best friends (The Last Supper) and they had bread and "juice". She said the kids then got to do the same thing and that is was the most special bread and juice ever. We headed to my parents house afterwards for lunch. As soon as we got there Aaris wanted to see if the Easter Bunny had hid any eggs at their house as well. So, it was round two for the egg hunting. Titus did better this time at being interested and putting the eggs in the basket. I'm certain it was because they were the real hard boiled eggs and he couldn't open them. Then came the feast. My mom just makes the best home-cooked comfort food ever. We all got filled up. Titus got tired and bored by the end though and decided to smear cake all over himself. The kids got to end their festivities with presents from Mimi and Papaw: fun balls to play with and special eggs (princess eggs for Aaris and "Cars" eggs for Titus) filled with candy and some coins. We all came home and crashed for the afternoon before leaving for Care Group that evening. A GREAT DAY!

Your children are so beautiful, but I always knew they would be! :) They've got great genes!
