Aaris has a sweet little friend named Kaia that she has played with for several year now. Kaia's mom, Laurie, was a client of mine when I trained at Mecca. We became good friends and thought that our kids would really like to play together since they are pretty close in age. Well, they have, and I really love getting to catch up with Laurie through the play-dates. We found out a couple of months ago that they are going to be moving to Belgium for 2 years in mid April. As mentioned before, this is a very, very sweet family. They so kindly wanted to treat Aaris to a special final play-date. So, they took her to Libby Lu in the mall today and let Kaia and Aaris have a great time getting all diva'd up. The girls both picked the "tiara" hairstyle and suddenly became 16 years old in front of our eyes. It was so precious to see them all dolled up, but so scary knowing that they will be wanting to dress like that for real at their high school proms before we know it! After getting to pick out some special treats, dancing to the hokey-pokey, and getting sprinkled with fairy dust, they took us to Chick-fil-A for some lunch. Kaia had packed some candy to share with everyone after we ate. Then Aaris turned her kid's meal toy in for some ice-cream and they had a good time sharing that as well. I really hope that we keep up closely through the mail and internet over the next two years so that we can enjoy many more special times like this in the future. Thanks Laurie and Kaia. We will miss you!
