1 day to go

You can see Aaris's hospital bracelet on her leg. They told me that if she didn't have this on when she arrived for surgery, she could not have surgery. We've made sure it hasn't come off.

Tomorrow is the big day. All of your prayers are letting me feel more peace than fear. The devil really tried hard to knock us down several times today. Again, I know that your prayers were the only way we withstood what he hit us with. Thank you all for your amazing love and support.

Today's book page is the back cover of Aaris's book. Aaris has not misspelled her name in at least 6 months, so it crazy that she misspelled it here. Oh, well, I think she was really excited and distracted by having finished her book.

Fun happening. We went to Jason's Deli tonight to eat because Aaris loves to eat off of the salad bar. When we ordered the number they gave us to put on our table was #10. Aaris's surgery is on April 10. Just something that made us smile.

I must tell you one thing that gave me goose-bumps and made my soul feel hugged by God tonight. We opened up Aaris's Children's Bible to her lesson for tonight and the title was "Looking at the Heart". Was that not the coolest thing!!!!! The lesson was about God sending Samuel to Jesse to find a new king for his people from one of Jesse's sons. God told Samuel that "God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." And that is when God told Samuel to pick David. For even thought David was young and only a shepherd, God had looked at David's heart and knew that David had loved him very much. Sounds a lot like Aaris to me. :)
